One of the most important and rewarding things I learned (way before perimenopause but still) is that no is a complete sentence. And I use it often. Also, getting go of the word "should" is hugely freeing. I want to, I will, I get to, I won't...always better options.

Yes! I don't think I historically had trouble with the word no, but should is another story. Giving ourselves permission to let go of should and reframe it with something else is helpful. Another hard lesson for me to learn was if I give myself permission, perhaps physically, but not mentally, it still leads to suffering.
