Thank you for this great interview Kristi and Satya. Bringing awareness about our programmed eating habits is so valuable and you are shining a very bright light on it! Acceptance and allowing take practice. We must begin with baby steps and do them consistently. One of the beautiful things about this process is it transfers to other important areas of our life, or vice versa.
Exactly! Whatever the stumbling block or addiction is they tend to take the same kind of tools to overcome. Sobriety is about more than not drinking because you are also called to recover and heal.
It fits so well for me Kathryn. There's info at our temple website, www.brightearth.org, or just Google Pure Land Buddhism - do let me know if you have any questions!
I recommend KRISTI KOETER. I enjoyed reading the story of Office. It's been a great, comfort zone. The bright and spacious room looks beautiful, likening the blue sky. It's calming, neat, and wonderful. I am a Pure Land Buddhist. I am a Nichiren sect. I am Japanese. I live in Tokyo. I wrote a calligraphy news letter. I wrote it for the first time. I didn't even know about Substack. I can't speak English, so I can't understand the instructions. However, I really wanted to record it. I hope you will read it. I loved reading this interview with Satya whose Substack I also adore.
I loved the reminder of “going gently” with this process, as it’s something we all need to hear every so often. No matter where you’re at on the journey of moving away from diets.

It does indeed, and I see a lot of parallels to the work you’re doing/have done toward your recovery. Good stuff all around!

Thank you Donna - and yes, what Kristi said!
we are all 'bombu' - foolish beings of wayward passions ... This has me so curious to learn more. Definitely going to dig in.

Thank you! I've recently started following you on Substack so I'm sure I'll find more there as well. I'll definitely be exploring this.
Seeing you two work together here makes me super happy!
