Thank you for sharing your powerful story, Kristi. I have no doubt, this will resonate with many and hopefully remind others that recovery and liberation from diet culture is not only possible but so worth it. Thank you for including me and my book!

Thank you, Deb. When the going gets tough with this diet recovery work, because it so does, it helps to have resources like yours to turn to.

Wow, I can identify with so much of this. I always felt like I was fat and looking back at pictures of myself in high school I realize now that I was perfectly fine I was just never a size zero like most of my cohort. After 40 Years of dieting and realizing it has gotten me nowhere and I'm turning 60 this year, and finding myself paired up with an intuitive dietitian for the second time, completely by accident and realizing that maybe I need to pay attention this time and see it with new eyes. I've made the decision to turn my back on diet culture and I'm still in the grief stage over what my body is and what it will never be just like you did. It's not easy but having to admit that 40 Years of dieting got me nowhere and do I really want to spend my senior years continuing that eternal struggle and forever feelings of failure? No. It's time to stop, it's time to make peace with what is. And liberate myself from the tracking and the restriction. I'm with you! 💕

Wendy! Wow! It sounds like we have walked in the same shoes for a very long time. I’m excited to hear that you’re giving it another try with an intuitive dietitian. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.🤞 It took years of me knowing deep down that I needed to quit diets to actually find the courage to do it. It doesn’t matter how long it takes. It’s okay if this ends up not being quite the right time. What matters is that you keep listening to what’s coming up for you, that little voice you know is right. You will find the way!
